Learn Scrum Master foundations through free READY training. Practise team facilitation, coaching and impediment diagnosis with an original team scenario.
About this course
Explore how a Scrum Master helps a team improve its effectiveness while keeping appropriate ownership with the people doing the work. This independent READY course is for aspiring Scrum Masters, project coordinators and team members who support planning, facilitation or improvement. The emphasis is on useful conversations, visible constraints and learning from the team's actual work.
In the available first lesson, a planning session is dominated by two senior developers while other team members stay quiet. Work is also assigned between sessions, and commitments are repeatedly missed. You will examine the behaviors and unknowns, choose a first intervention and explain what you would look for after two iterations. The exercise develops a team-effectiveness diagnosis without assuming that one person is the whole problem.
The curriculum maps related topics such as Scrum's learning cycle, coaching, stakeholder collaboration and responsible use of metrics. The first lesson and its scenario are available now. READY's original preparation does not issue a Scrum credential or imply endorsement by Scrum.org, Scrum Alliance or another certification provider.
